ABOUT US

Hi, I'm Elliot.
​

I've spent the last 3 years instructing outdoor pursuits under the Sun, Sand, Sea, Rain and Storms. In that time I've destroyed, lost or forgotten countless pairs of sunglasses all over the world.


Those many shades have seen all the great places I've seen and all the not so great places. What we both saw a lot of was trash, everywhere, which was always a sour patch on a nice view.

So somewhere between the 100th pair of sunglasses and the 1000th pile of rubbish, LazyRayz was born. With the idea to have a pair of sunglasses that will last the test of a clumsy outdoor instructor and that will make a difference to the world we all enjoy.

I decided on three principles to follow to make this happen, let me tell you about them

Better Materials

At LazyRayz, we are dedicated to promoting a zero waste lifestyle. Which is why all of our products are 100% recycled materials. 
We work with companies collecting and recycling plastics from all sorts of places it could be household waste or it could be litter collected from the beach. Whatever it is if it can be recycled its used.

We understand that its a tricky job to be 100% waste free, this comes from transport emissions, factory losses ect. This is why 10% of all our sales go back into a monthly charity of choice donation to help us give back just a bit more.

Ethical Production

At Lazy Rayz, sustainability isn’t just about recycled materials or eco packaging, it’s about people. That’s why we work exclusivly with BSCI-certified factories, where ethical production isn’t a bonus, it’s the baseline. This includes:

  • Fair wages for every worker

  • Safe, healthy working conditions

  • Reasonable hours

  • Zero tolerance for child or forced labour

This means every Lazy Rayz frame is made with respect for the planet and the people who help us protect it.

It's a Journey 

Sustainability is a journey, not a destination.

There will always be way to improve and minimise our impact even more. What's important is that we keep trying.  We are constantly exploring better materials, fairer practices, and ways to give back. 
Change isn't caused by a few acting perfectly, it happens through a great number of imperfect actions.
